For over three decades, Americana Community Center has been a cornerstone of support for Louisville's immigrant, refugee, and underserved communities. What began in 1993 in four small one-bedroom apartments offering basic English classes has grown into a vibrant, multi-service campus that touches thousands of lives each year through healthcare, youth development, adult education, and family support services.

Rebounding Stronger Than Ever

Thanks to our dedicated community and the success of our 2025 S.O.S. campaign, Americana has rebounded with remarkable momentum:

• Youth Development: Fully revived with over 40 youth enrolled for the upcoming school year.

• Family Advocacy: Our new integrated Family Advocacy initiative connected 51 families directly to vital community resources.

• Community Garden: Provided fresh produce and healthy living support to 13 families.

• The Capital Campaign: Broke ground on our $4 million Capital Campaign to fully integrate Family Health Centers Americana onto our campus, bringing expanded clinical space, dedicated staff, and an on-site pharmacy directly to our neighbors.​

New Leadership, Expanded Capacity

Under the direction of Executive Director Ricardo Santiago (former Digital Inclusion Manager for Louisville Metro Government), our team is expanding to better serve our community. We have welcomed two Family Advocates, a Training Coordinator, a Programs Director, and a Senior Finance Manager, alongside new campus partners like ChooseWell Communities and Made180.
