The Youth Program provides a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment for school aged youth, and supports their success in school through homework help and tutoring, English as a second language instruction, college and career readiness programs, academic enrichment, creative arts programming, counseling, environmental education, physical recreation, and social emotional wellness programming as well as a hot meal from Dare to Care Kids’ Café. Our youth programming focuses on holistic development, allowing youth to thrive in all aspects of life.

After School Program

The After School Program provides a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment for school aged youth, and supports their success in school through homework help and tutoring, English as a second language instruction, college and career readiness programs, academic enrichment, creative arts programming, counseling, youth coaching, environmental education, physical recreation opportunities, and social emotional wellness programming as well as a hot meal from Dare to Care Kids’ Café. The program is offered Monday-Thursday from 3:30 - 6:30 during the school year.

Through community partnerships, the young participants can explore their interests and expand their scope of the local community in ways for which they may not otherwise have access including local field trips, dance and music class, and off-campus recreational activities such as hiking and archery. Our youth programming is unique in that it focuses on holistic development, recognizing the importance of allowing youth to thrive in all aspects of life.

Summer Program

Registration for Summer Program 2024 is currently closed.

The Summer Youth Program is a 7-week program offered Monday-Thursday from 8:30 - 5:00pm during June and July for K-12 youth. This program offers interactive, engaging activities to prevent summer learning loss, improve language acquisition for ELL youth, and develop personal interests. The program focuses on six core areas: STEM, Creative Arts, Physical Education, Environmental Education, Literacy & Social Emotional Wellness. Programming also includes English as a Second Language class, field trips, swimming lessons, three hot meals a day, and recreational activities.

Summer Program 2024 Enrichment Partners

Through partnership with JCPS Backpack league—a summer enrichment program that engages over 2000 students across 18 schools and over 40 community sites—we have had the opportunity to invite local organizations and businesses to provide academic enrichment activities to our youth.
