Family Programs

All of the programming at Americana Community Center is aimed at strengthening the families of the area so that each member may reach their potential within the community.

Family Night Americana hosts a monthly Family Night from 5pm until 7pm on the last Thursday of each month.  Family Nights offer valuable information and act as an open forum for questions regarding areas such as the JCPS school system, bus routes, grading scales, nutrtion, stress management and more; the discussion topic is dependant on timed events (such as the beginning of a school year) and the various needs of the families.  Family Night is fun for everyone, and childcare is provided! Check the front page of the website for upcoming events.

Family Education Family Education is a four component program that attunes parents to their children's education.  It includes ESL instruction for adults, advancement in parental understanding of their child’s education, early childhood education activities, and a special parent and child interaction piece titled PACT Time.  Family Education is an encouraging program and a terrific catalyst for aiding home connections for the families served. more...
