After School Program
The After School Program at ACC runs Monday through Thursday between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. This program provides a safe and educational environment for school aged youth in the South Louisville area. This critical out of school programming ensures that youth have the opportunities to develop academically and personally to achieve success in school and life. A variety of programs and opportunities are offered that help build self esteem both in and outside the classroom.
Activities include:
- Homework Help
- JCPS English as a Second Language (ESL) services (for elementary age youth)
- Kids Cafe (a warm meal offered 3 days per week)
- Recreation opportunities including soccer, basketball and open gym
- Computer lab and instruction
- Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
- Opportunities in the arts including dance, drama, visual arts, music, etc.
- Group games
- Neighborhood Youth Board (NYB) for teenage youth
